A Tiny Eden walkthrough runs through one long task chain rather than chapters: clean the balcony, learn plant care, sell your first cooked dish, buy the second room, build the genetics lab, run the cornflower database delivery and finally open your own shop. The game released as a finished 1.0 on September 7, 2026 and the intoindiegames walkthrough is the credited route through all of it, so the steps below follow that path and the official store text rather than guessing at optional content.
The Opening and Plant Health
The route starts on the balcony. Clear the trash pile, stand the fallen planters back up, free the drone from the cabinet and water until the marker reaches the thin sweet-spot line. Talk to the drone after cleaning the dirt, buy shears from the store, collect them from the parcel box in the lobby and cut the ripe strawberries, then replant the seeds and water to about 90 percent.
Plant health is the second beat of the same lesson. Check your mail, go to the roof and adopt a cat, and buy it a cat bed. From then on you watch the climate each crop wants. Weeds appear on strawberries and need a pitchfork to remove, and pulling them leaves biomass on the ground that you should pick up.
| Task | What the walkthrough says to do |
|---|---|
| Clean the balcony | Trash first, then stand the planters upright |
| Free the drone | Open the cabinet and revive it, then talk again after cleaning |
| Harvest strawberries | Buy shears, collect at the parcel box, cut the ripe fruit |
| Replant | Use strawberry seeds in the matching planters, water to 90% |
| Adopt the cat | Check mail, go to the roof, buy a cat bed |
- Press Alt to open a plant's status and compare its symbol with the guide.
- Check crops often, and start with fewer varieties until the symbols are second nature.
- Weeds leave biomass; pick it up instead of leaving it.
Selling Crops and Expanding
Your first sale happens in the Atrium outside the DIY Club. The customer rewards you with compost and fresh seeds, and you also learn Vitamin Salad, cooked in the kitchen from strawberries and Pak Choy. Orders are the steady income: open the menu, choose one you can finish, and complete many of them to build reputation, which is what actually unlocks the rest of the game.
More plants come from mixing soil properly. Take compost and sand to the planters, match the ratio each crop asks for, plant Pak Choy seeds and water them. You can assign new plants to empty planters yourself and reassign existing ones, though the walkthrough warns against reassigning because each planter's soil ends up suited to its crop.
| Expansion beat | Detail |
|---|---|
| Build mode | Unlocked by story tasks; place blueprints and hammer them to finish |
| Furniture and planters | Build extra planters on the balcony this way |
| Second room key | Bought under the Misc tab, collected from the parcel terminal |
| Further rooms | Gated behind reputation and neighbour quests |

Furniture and stand-alone planters are built through build mode. Enter it, place any blueprint you own and strike the blueprint a few times with the hammer to complete it, which is how the walkthrough adds planters to the balcony. Expansion keys work the same way: buy the second room key from the Misc tab in the shop menu, collect it from the parcel terminal and unlock the door.
The Genetics Lab and the Database Quest
Inside the second room you build the genetics lab. Interact with the Project: Genetic Lab blueprint to see the material list, buy planks, textile and fasteners from the shop or collect them from around the apartment, then submit the required crops and press Bloom to evolve the plant with Plasmids. Evolution adds traits that help a crop survive harsher conditions. You can also buy the Bean Stir-Fry and Caramelized Onion Jam recipes from the Kitchen tab once club reputation is three.

The database quest is the most time-gated step in the run. Check your email, plant cornflowers, then sleep through days to speed them up. Harvest them and deliver to the rooftop between 9 pm and 11 pm, place them inside the shady drone and wait for Nyx to reply. Read the mail afterwards and visit Nyx's friend in the Atrium.
Opening Your Shop
Opening the shop closes the loop. Earn a total of 100 coins — spending does not lower the running total — then collect the key from the parcel terminal and unlock the door with the Tiny Market sign in the Atrium. Build a couple of showcases and a checkout counter from shop blueprints, place products on the shelves and set the price; the shop sells automatically while you are elsewhere.
- 100 coins of lifetime earnings opens the shop key.
- Build showcases and a checkout counter before stocking anything.
- Products sell while you are away, and the Trading Hub lets you raise prices later.
FAQ
What is the very first thing to do in Tiny Eden?
Read the notes, clear the pile of trash on the balcony, set the fallen planters upright, free the drone from the cabinet and water the plants until the marker reaches the thin sweet-spot line. The credited walkthrough starts there because the trash and the planters both block the space you need for the first crops.
How do I get the database in Tiny Eden?
Check your email first, then grow cornflowers. They take a while, so sleep through the days to pass time. Once harvested, deliver them to the rooftop between 9 pm and 11 pm and put them inside the shady drone, wait for a response from Nyx, read the mail and visit Nyx's friend in the Atrium.
When can I start selling in Tiny Eden?
After your first customer in the Atrium, found outside the DIY Club, you get compost, new seeds and the Vitamin Salad recipe for strawberries and Pak Choy. Orders then become the main income, and in version 1.0 only cooked dishes can be sold, so the kitchen is the money route rather than raw harvest.
What should I plant while I wait for slow crops?
Regrowable, quick-turn crops. The walkthrough names strawberries, cornflowers, peas and beans as the ones worth focusing on, and it suggests dedicating some pots to the ingredients a recipe needs so a cooked order is never blocked by a missing plant.
Does Tiny Eden have a time limit or a fail state?
No. The developers confirmed there is no game over and no time pressure, and that time runs at 60:1, meaning one real second is one in-game minute. You can run out of money, but the FAQ says recovering from it is easy, and sleeping is simply how you advance days.
