What is Olympus 2249?
An isometric, post-apocalyptic cRPG from Dieselship Studio, released on Steam in Early Access on 6 October 2026 at $19.99 for Windows. Your Karmic Type, one of five, shapes dialogue, quests and story, combat is turn-based with positioning, environmental hazards and limb aiming, and the launch build contains the first of three planned story acts.
Is Olympus 2249 a sequel to Olympus 2207?
It is the standalone sequel from the same team lineage. Olympus 2207 was a total conversion mod for Fallout 2 that later became a standalone release, and the studio that made it went on to found Dieselship Studio. The developers describe the sequel as pretty stand-alone and as a full-featured game rather than another Fallout 2 total conversion, and their own summary of what changed is everything except the lore.
How much content is in the Early Access version?
All of the planned game systems and mechanics are already implemented, plus the first of three story acts. The developer describes that as about a quarter of the story and roughly 3 to 7 hours per playthrough depending on your build, playstyle and how many side quests you complete. The full version is planned to add significantly more locations, factions, quests, characters and items.
What platforms is Olympus 2249 on?
Windows only, sold on Steam. Steam lists full controller support, Steam Cloud, Adjustable Difficulty, Playable without Timed Input and Save Anytime alongside 12 achievements, and no console or additional store release is documented in the sources used here.
